Quartzelec’s Abu Dhabi based engineering services workshop in #Mussafah has retained their IECEx repair facility certification for the repair and overhaul of hazardous area machines. During the audit, Quartzelec successfully achieved the Ex p equipment concept to their certificate, complementing the Ex e, Ex n and Ex d concepts already achieved.

The audit, conducted by Ex Veritas Limited was carried out late 2023 and the certification ensures that our team of qualified IECEx engineers will continue to deliver support services to key regional customers that include ADNOC and ALTERA.

“Repairing hazardous area equipment to the IECEX standards ensure an ignition source is not present in a hazardous area. This is not always recognised by clients in the Middle east, so it is refreshing that 2 of our key customers Altera and ADNOC recognise and appreciate the knowledge, training and certification that the branch has. Safety is a critical consideration for any project we undertake; but our IECEx accreditation importantly means we can continue to meet our repair and overhaul commitments of hazardous area machines for these customers. Adding Exp to our certificate will support our bids on future projects” stated John Stratton, Operations Manager.“We continue to comply with or exceed the stringent safety standards set to provide the necessary solutions and services in this field and our renewal supports our global technical capabilities that include a host of advanced tests and evaluation services.”
